Dr. Kara Beair Butler, known to her patients as Dr. Beair, is an Oklahoma native, who prides herself on commitment to her community. At the age of 3, she proclaimed her desire to be a physician and serve others, and she has never looked back. Following the diagnosis of her brother Brian with Type I Diabetes over 25 years ago, she became an advocate for families living with this disease, as well as families facing chronic illness. Her family founded the Green Country Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which funds research for a cure. Dr. Beair has also served as a counselor and member of the Medical Staff of Camp Lo-Be-Gon, a day camp for children with Diabetes, for the last 23 years.

Dr. Beair is a proud alumna of Holland Hall School, and she currently serves as the Vice President of the Alumni Board. She pursued her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma City University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and then went on to obtain her degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. While at OSU-COM, Dr. Beair was a member of the inaugural class of the Rural Health Option, which provided additional training in rural medicine and health disparities in Oklahoma to a select group of students. This training was invaluable. She is a Cowgirl through and through, and you will see her proudly wear her orange on game days. Despite bleeding orange, she went on to complete a dual residency in Adult Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the OU School of Community Medicine. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Beair was honored with the Pediatric "Undeniable Award," a distinction given to the resident who takes pleasure in hard work, seeks knowledge, and lives a life of resilience.

Following her residency, Dr. Beair stayed on at OU as the Medical Director of the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Clinic, and also served as both the Director of the Heart Improvement Project (a program providing medical services to uninsured patients with cardiovascular risk factors) and the Medical Director of the Street Outreach Clinic at Youth Services of Tulsa. She then took an opportunity at TU to serve as the Medical Director of the Hurricane Health Clinic and the Alexander Health Center. Through her experiences at these organizations, Dr. Beair had the opportunity to serve patients of all ages and backgrounds. She was also able to work with students from high school to graduate school. She partnered with Holland Hall and Tulsa Public Schools in their launch of a new community-based learning experience called Tulsa Term. She helped develop the Community Medicine Curriculum for this project and was thrilled to teach the initial cohort in Spring of 2019. It was all these endeavors that led her to be named the 2017 recipient of the Holland Hall Young Alumni Award. Through her experiences at OSU, OU, and TU, she came to the realization that she wanted to create a community-based clinic, which would allow her to better serve her patients, demonstrate to her students the practices of which she preaches, and give back to the community through service projects and focused programming. The creation of Beair Medical Group is truly a lifelong dream coming to fruition.

In addition to being a physician, Dr. Beair is a wife and mother, and these are the roles in which she takes the most pride. She has been married to her husband Grant, a Volume Management Representative for Williams Companies, for 8 years. They have 5 year old girl/boy twins, Eden and McIntyre, and an infant daughter, Eisla. Their family attends The Church at Jenks. Dr. Beair loves cooking, crafting, traveling, exercising, and is known for throwing one heck of a party. She loves sports of all kinds and proudly serves as a coach for the Jenks Girls Softball Federation. She is looking forward to serving the community in which she lives and bringing compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals and families of all ages.

Mrs. Patti Wheaton, APRN, MSN, was born in Oklahoma City and found herself traveling the Southern United States for most of her early childhood.  At the age of 6, her family laid down roots in Independence, Missouri, where she would later meet and marry her husband.  They moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma, and then spent a brief stint in New Mexico, before finally settling down in Jenks, where they have spent the better part of their lives together.

Mrs. Wheaton was inspired to pursue a career in nursing by her aunt.  She began her nursing career as an LPN in 1984, and by 1988, she completed her BSN from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  Soon after, she set her sights on becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her degree as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1991.  In 2002, she earned her Master's in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Oklahoma. She returned to school for the last time in 2005 to complete training as a Family Nurse Practitioner at George Washington University.  During her career, she has worked in a variety of settings, including the Hospital, Health Department, several private practices, and a local university.

Mrs. Wheaton's roots in Jenks run deep.  She moved here with her family in 1995, and both of her children attended school here. She had a solo practice in Jenks for 12 years, which many will recall as the little pink clinic on Main. She is excited to return to the Jenks healthcare community to provide care to our area’s families once again. Mrs. Wheaton developed a special interest in sleep medicine after her daughter developed Narcolepsy and is passionate about assisting Prediabetic patients in preventing the onset of Diabetes.

When she isn't working, Mrs. Wheaton enjoys bargain hunting, crafts and the critters on their family ranchette, affectionately known as "Misfit Acres." She enjoys camping and kayaking with her husband of 37 years, as well. They can be found most Sundays leading the praise and worship at their home church in Redfork, where she is also actively involved in the Sunday school program.

When she can sneak away, you’ll find Mrs. Wheaton in Colorado visiting her one and only adorable grandson, Benjamin, whose dad is a Jenks alum and whose mother taught strings in the Jenks orchestra program.

Mrs. Wheaton is looking forward to again building and growing relationships as she provides care for the people of Jenks and the surrounding cities.

photo of Brian K Beair Brian K Beair Executive Chairman

Mr. Brian Beair moved to Tulsa at the age of 4, and though he has traveled the world, he has always found his way back home to Oklahoma. He spent all of his grade school years in the Tulsa Public Schools System, and he graduated from East Central High School.

Mr. Beair attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He quickly found his niche in the Aerospace Industry, where he worked and concurrently took courses toward his Master of Business Administration at Colorado State University. He gained invaluable experience in his more than 15 years of service to American Airlines and several additional years with the NORDAM Group. His roles at both of these organizations allowed him to interface with individuals across Green Country, as well as develop relationships with businesses all over the world. His experiences and knowledge, as well as his commitment to customer service, have helped him become the seasoned Aerospace Executive he is today. He is now proud to serve as the Vice President of Sales for AvCon Aviation, a Camtronics Company. As a member of the business community in the Greater Tulsa Area, he has longstanding relationships with friends across industries, and he is working to create new relationships and business partnerships every day. In his role as the Executive Chairman of Beair Medical Group, he will work to help build bridges with local organizations, so that we can better serve the needs of families within our community.

Mr. Beair brings his work ethic not only to the business world, but also to service within the community. He assisted his wife, Kim, as she founded the Green Country Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and he spearheaded the effort to have American Airlines serve as the Corporate Sponsor of the first Walk to Cure Diabetes, now called the JDRF One Walk, in Tulsa. Over the years, he has given of his time and resources to organizations across the community as he has carried on the legacy of his service of his family.

Though Mr. Beair is an accomplished businessman, he takes most pride in his family. He began dating his wife Kim when they were both still teenagers, and they have now been married for over 37 years. They have two children and 4 grandchildren. These days, you’re most likely to find him cheering on his grandkids as enthusiastically as he cheers on his Oklahoma State Cowboys. Mr. Beair has dedicated his life to ensuring his family gets to live their dreams. He is happy to welcome you to the BMG family, and he is committed to ensuring you feel the same care and support that he would provide to his very own.

photo of Grant Butler Grant Butler Chier Financial Officer

Mr. Grant Butler is proud to reside in Oklahoma, where he was born and raised. Growing up, he had a variety of interests, but he wasn’t entirely sure where his passions would lead him. Mr. Butler graduated from Metro Christian Academy, where he was a member of the State Champion Golf Team in 2000.

A lifelong Sooner fan, Mr. Butler proudly attended the University of Oklahoma in his pursuit of higher education. Shortly after arriving there, he found he had an interest in business, and he had a special passion for the energy industry. After graduating with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, he took a position as a Consumer Banker at Bank of Oklahoma in Jenks. He grew greatly from this opportunity, and he enjoyed the chance to engage in the community and really get to know the people of this city. In 2006, he was offered the opportunity to join Williams Companies as a Gas Scheduler. Through excellent mentorship, he progressed and was promoted to roles in Gas Management and Commodity Optimization. Today, he is proud to continue to be a member of the Williams Companies team as a Senior Volume Management Representative for the Northeast Region. All of his experiences have given him the invaluable opportunity to develop business partnerships, hone his customer service skills, and broaden his knowledge of the business world.

Mr. Butler married his wife, Dr. Kara Beair Butler, in 2010 just prior to her graduation from medical school. He proudly supported her through all of her career endeavors over the years, but recognized that she had a desire to do more and better serve her community. Believing in her dream to bring comprehensive medical care to their home community of Jenks, he encouraged her (with the help of his wonderfully persuasive mother-in-law) to take the leap of faith and launch Beair Medical Group. His great love of the spreadsheet, attention to detail, and dedication to providing exemplary service are a major part of the operation of Beair Medical Group.

Though he is proud of his dual roles as businessman and business owner, he is far prouder of his dual roles as husband and father. Together with Kara, he has three beautiful children, Eden, McIntyre, and Eisla. He loves soaking up every minute with his kids and teaching them new things. He is an avid sports fan, who loves playing and participating in sports of all kinds, but especially enjoys watching Sooner Football. Mr. Butler has interests in politics and cars, and he enjoys maintaining a pristine yard. He is thrilled to welcome you to Beair Medical Group, and he hopes you will have an excellent experience there from start to finish.
